L.A. Care funds APHCV with Robert E. Tranquada Safety Net Initiative (Tranquada XIV)
APHCV has received funding from L.A. Care’s Robert E. Tranquada Safety Net Initiative (Tranquada XIV). This generous funding will allow us to hire a Floater Nurse Practitioner who will serve patients at APHCV-Belmont Health Center, APHCV-El Monte-Rosemead Health Center, and APHCV-Los Feliz Health Center. The primary goal of this program is to increase access to wellness and preventative care for young children, women, and older adults. By targeting to increase access to preventative care, we aim to realize an increase in well visits, improving health outcomes for our patients.
L.A. Care launched the Tranquada Initiative in 2005 to help safety net providers improve their core infrastructure capabilities and to support project that have a long-term and systemic impact.
L.A. Care’s mission is to provide access to quality health care for Los Angeles County’s vulnerable and low-income communities and residents and to support the safety net required to achieve that purpose.
