APHCV receives HHS funding and has Federal Public Health Service (PHS) Deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and covered individuals.

We help you get health insurance, but did you know that we can help you apply for CalFresh as well? Our friendly staff help patients and community members get CalFresh (food stamps). CalFresh is now offered to those who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or State Supplemental Payment (SSP) benefits. If you have SSI or SSP, you are eligible for CalFresh. There is no change or reduction to SSI/SSP payments when you get CalFresh. Call us if you want to find out more: (323) 644-3882.
Food stamps lets our patients access healthy foods in order to live healthy lives. Healthy vegetables and fruits go a long way, especially for those who have heart disease, high cholesterol, and diabetes. Food stamps can be used at most local supermarkets, grocery stores, and farmer’s markets.
This project is funded in part by L.A. Care Health Plan and will benefit low-income and uninsured residents of Los Angeles County. http://www.lacare.org
